Senior Mechanical Estimator

Role Overview
This is a full-time hybrid position from our HQ based in the Ribble Valley. As
Senior Mechanical Estimator
, you'll manage day-to-day estimating tasks, analyse project requirements, prepare cost estimates, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely submissions for tenders, private opportunities, and more.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and analyse cost estimates for HVAC and mechanical projects
* Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses
* Monitor project costs and ensure budget adherence
* Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
* Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
* Evaluate and manage project risks related to cost control
* Prepare progress reports and financial forecasts
* Develop and issue programmes of work and risk assessments as needed
* Prepare and submit quality documentation tailored to project requirements
Experience & Qualifications:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Construction Management, or equivalent industry experience
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator or similar role
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost structures
* Proficient in cost estimating software (Trimble) and Excel
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities
* Ability to build and maintain supplier and contractor relationships
* Familiarity with various tender platforms
