Overview
CAEA (Centre Academy East Anglia) is seeking a passionate and dedicated ICT and Media Teacher who is committed to supporting our young learners in achieving their academic goals. You will have a strong background in teaching ICT and Media, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that cater to a range of abilities. The approach should be inclusive and supportive, ensuring every student feels valued and motivated to succeed. You will work with students, colleagues, and stakeholders to drive student progression and monitor progress using innovative teaching methods.
Responsibilities
* Provide instruction in varying group sizes as prescribed by the school
* Teach an additional subject or subjects as directed by the Head of School
* Provide sympathetic support to encourage self-reliance, responsible behaviour and self-esteem
* Undertake other duties as the Head of School may reasonably direct
* Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes
* Plan and prepare schemes of work and lessons incorporating National Curriculum requirements adapted to the needs, abilities, and interests of the pupils in your class
* Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils
* Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
* Set high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
* Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
* Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
* Participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external tests
* Demonstrate highest professional and personal standards and classroom management
* Deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for ICT and Computing to students aged 7 – 19, including Functional ICT and Media and GCSE components
* Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students
* Facilitate a learning experience that helps students achieve their individual potential
* Contribute to maximizing student attainment
* Share and support the school’s responsibility to provide opportunities for personal and academic growth
Professional development
* Provide training, practice and coaching so all staff become effective in teaching ICT/Media
* Attend relevant training courses and share new knowledge with colleagues
