The role An opportunity has arisen for several experienced Project Engineers - Track to join Major Projects initially working on the Southern Integrated Delivery project. Key accountabilities In this role you will be responsible for: On site control of all technical aspects of track construction to relevant engineering designs, standards and tolerances using a variety of surveying equipment and techniques Collection and Compilation of construction records to provide required quality assurance to clients Production and/or review of site engineering and safety documentation including risk assessments, method statements and task briefs. Assisting the senior engineer and project manager in developing the plan for the engineering resource required to deliver the project plan and provide engineering review of the method statements and risk assessments proposed for the work. Supporting the project bid/tendering process as required. Providing site support to the project team throughout the works. Skills & experience You will be self-motivated with a pro-active approach and have experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. To be considered for this role you must have the following experience and skill set: Demonstrable experience working within Track Engineering. Experienced user of 3D surveying instruments in a construction environment A degree in Engineering or related discipline with an HNC/HND as a minimum. Confident communication skills, both in writing and in internal and external correspondence. Ability to operate effectively in the site environment. Competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Experience at team working/collaborating.
