Network Engineer required by a global services organisation, to be based remotely, who has recently embarked on a significant IT transformation programme.

Salary - £50,000 to £60,000 + on call (£125 per month) + benefits
The Network Engineer will have a demonstrable background in routing, switching and firewall administration, a good understanding of Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4 networking protocols (e.g. Ethernet, IP, TCP/IP, BG) and wireless protocols (e.g. WPA3, Wi-FI 6E/7), hold a relevant industry qualifications (CCNA or equivalent as a minimum), a history of working in a similar organisational structure to my client (i.e. corporate/global, with multiple business units/countries reporting into a group function), be a proven self-starter with strong collaboration, delivery focused, relationship building, integrity and stakeholder management competencies and have good written and verbal communication skills.
Any experience of SD-WAN, SASE and/or Cisco Meraki is desirable but not essential.
Your role will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation and maintenance of the global network (43 countries and 24,000 users) ensuring high availability and security. This includes troubleshooting and resolving network issues across various layers and platforms (Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4 protocols, wireless, AWS and Azure) and supporting and maintaining the cloud WAF. Due to the global nature of the position your working hours will either be 2pm to 10pm UK time or 3:30pm to 11:30pm UK time (full remote with very infrequent travel). There is also an on call element (1 week in 5 with historically very limited call outs).
