Overview

Job Title: Minute Taker

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Minute Taker to enhance our already established friendly and supportive team who will contribute to the key work of the Education and Children's Directorate. This is a temporary, full-time position working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, to cover the maternity leave of the current postholder. The role will continue until 31 March 2026 or until the postholder returns, whichever is the sooner. The post is based within Children's Social Care at Ripon Street, Preston, PR1 7LY, and provides support to operational staff, managers, and Independent Reviewing Offices, through minute-taking for a variety of meetings.

We are currently working a combination of home and office working, therefore, you will be required to have a suitable working space within your home and broadband connection. Due to the nature of this role the expectation will be that you may be expected to work from a variety of locations.

* Passion: You'll be passionate about delivering a great service and experience, it's what will motivate you, getting it right first time, asking for support when you need it and building on the skills that you've developed elsewhere.
* Knowledge and Experience: Ideally you will have experience of working within an administration setting and have knowledge of using Microsoft packages and databases.
* Great Communication: You'll be engaging and providing advice to Managers, Social Workers, families, members of the public and the rest of the team on a daily basis, so being able to clearly communicate the information you need and listen to individual requirements is key.
