RH Logistics Polar Speed A UPS Company offers a specialized logistics solutions service, including dedicated transport services, White Glove services, high‑tech warehousing, technical services, spare parts management, and demo systems management. Our driving team delivers and collects high‑value medical equipment around the UK to and from NHS and private hospitals, as well as at medical conferences.
Job Location
Polar Speed UPS, Unit 4, Eastman Way, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG1 4SZ. We are looking for drivers who live in Stevenage or the surrounding areas only.
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday – 42.5 hours per week – various shift patterns. Flexibility is required to suit the needs of the business, which may be of an urgent medical nature.
Pay
Hourly rate: £12.75 per hour (Monday to Friday). £19.12 per hour for weekend and bank holiday work.
Training
Full training will be provided.
Requirements
* Minimum Category B driver’s licence, ideally no more than 3 points.
* Minimum 2 years driving experience, including on the motorway.
* Comprehensive driving background, with technical experience in fragile transport and knowledge of lock‑and‑load ratchet systems.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work on own initiative.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Must appreciate the need for confidentiality.
* Team‑player mentality, with the ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues, team leaders, and other departments across the UK network.
Please note that successful candidates will undergo a 5‑year referencing check, plus an enhanced DBS check.
