Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Advisor to join our expanding team at our Stansted Depot. As part of the Central Hire Desk, you’ll be the first point of contact for our valued customers, responding to breakdowns and maintenance queries, and ensuring our vehicle fleet remains road-ready and compliant.
This is a fantastic role for someone with experience in a service-oriented, high-volume environment—or for individuals from sectors like hospitality, financial services, or retail, who are looking to bring their customer service and multitasking skills into a new and rewarding career in the vehicle hire industry.
YOUR ROLE AT SIXT
Customer Support & Maintenance Coordination
* Respond to and manage customer queries related to breakdowns, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and professionally.
* Deliver an exceptional level of customer service via phone, email, and internal platforms.
Fleet Management & Maintenance
* Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of our vehicle fleet, liaising with internal and external service teams.
* Track and update vehicle MOT, service, and inspection schedules to ensure ongoing compliance.
* Monitor vehicle off-road (V.O.R) reports and take proactive steps to reduce downtime.
Supplier & Budget Oversight
* Monitor costs agreed with suppliers, ensuring budgets are met and cost controls are in place.
* Authorise and track repair jobs within set approval limits.
Administration & Compliance
* Complete all admin tasks associated with vehicle maintenance and customer communications.
* Ensure all maintenance records and fleet data are accurately updated daily.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure process adherence and service continuity.
YOUR SKILLS MATTER
* Experience: Significant experience in a fast-paced Service Advisor role, ideally within the hire or automotive industry.
* Customer Focused: A genuine passion for delivering outstanding service and resolving customer concerns.
* Organised & Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build strong relationships across teams and with clients.
* Tech Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and confidence in using fleet or service management systems.
* Team Player: Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a wider operational team.
