Payroll Administrator
📍 Hemel Hempstead (Hybrid – 2 days WFH)
💰 £30,000–£35,000
Contract: Permanent (flexible hours considered)
The Role
A client-facing payroll role within a growing business, managing multiple client payrolls and delivering a high level of service.
You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of payroll clients, ensuring accurate processing, compliance, and strong day-to-day relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients
* Process starters, leavers, and payroll changes
* Calculate statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
* Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
* Handle client queries and provide payroll support
* Ensure compliance with HMRC and payroll legislation
* Support year-end processes and reporting
* Contribute to process improvements and team support
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience in client or bureau payroll (preferred)
* Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills
* High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
* Positive, outgoing personality and strong team fit
* Experience with payroll systems (Paycircle desirable)
