Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) Project Commercial Manager to join our dynamic team at Kier Mechanical and Electrical, working on the prestigious HMP Glasgow project.
About the Role
As a key player in our dedicated MEP team, you will oversee a commercial team responsible for managing over £180M in packages across a major custodial facility. This is your chance to make a significant impact!

* Location: HMP Glasgow, Royston
* Hours: Full Time, Permanent with opportunities for flexibility and hybrid working
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Lead and manage the MEP commercial team, empowering performance and acting as the escalation point.
* Ensure compliance with the procurement strategy established at the project's outset.
* Handle valuation and measurement of changes, providing advice on legal and contractual matters.
* Administer subcontractor agreements, including final accounts and necessary notices.
* Prepare monthly cost reports, commercial plans, and client reports as required.
* Manage project cash flows and turnover forecasts.
* Conduct risk and opportunity reporting and management.
* Develop margin improvement plans and drive profitability into the project.
* Approve material purchases while assessing commercial risks and opportunities.
* Update all commercial tasks and reports monthly.
* Induct team members into company systems and assist in the introduction of new tasks and techniques.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you can demonstrate:
* A degree or HND/HNC (or similar) in Quantity Surveying.
* Experience in managing and mentoring commercial teams overseeing MEP packages.
* A strong background as a surveyor with diverse project exposure.
* A clear understanding of main contract forms such as JCT and NEC.
* Sound technical knowledge of MEPH services and their components.
* High-level skills in effectively managing change.
* A valid UK driving license.
