With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, the business is growing rapidly and is seeking a commercially minded, energetic sales professional to help drive new business and expand existing relationships.
Role overview
We are looking for a Commercial Sales Manager/Business Development Manager to generate and manage a pipeline of new business, deepen client relationships, and support the growth of renewable and energy efficiency solutions.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded, adaptable, and self-motivated professional who thrives in structured but evolving environments. You don’t necessarily need prior renewable energy experience - drive, aptitude, and credibility are highly valued.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline across commercial and public sector clients.
* Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions, including solar PV, BMS, and lighting projects.
* Conduct consultative sales, delivering tailored proposals and solutions to meet client needs.
* Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and specifiers.
* Collaborate with technical and project delivery teams to ensure feasibility, pricing, and client satisfaction.
* Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies.
* Demonstrate initiative, asking thoughtful questions and conducting research to inform strategy.
* Work independently while thriving within a structured sales and project framework.
* Commercially minded with strong business development and sales skills.
* Comfortable operating within a structured environment but adaptable to change.
* Self-sufficient, proactive, and motivated to drive growth.
* Able to ask insightful questions and engage clients with credibility.
* Experience in energy, construction, building services, or technical sales is beneficial but not essential.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple opportunities and deliver results under pressure.
