Your new role
As a Legal Cashier, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and compliant processing of financial transactions. Your responsibilities will include:
* Processing client and office account payments, receipts, and transfers
* Ensuring full compliance with SRA Accounts Rules
* Managing bank reconciliations on a daily and monthly basis
* Handling bills, disbursements, write-offs, and allocations
* Monitoring client account balances and addressing residual balances
* Supporting fee earners and internal stakeholders with finance queries
* Assisting with month-end processes and audits
* Maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail at all times
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm
* Strong working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
* Experience using legal finance systems (e.g., Aderant, Elite 3E, or similar)
* Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* A proactive, professional, and solutions-focused approach
