Chemical Mixer Job Overview
My client are looking for a chemical mixer to prepare and operate mixing and coating equipment in a safe, efficient, and consistent manner. The Chemical Mixer will ensure all equipment is set up and operated in line with product and customer specifications.
Prepare and clean all items required to operate the mixing equipment and coating machine.
Conduct routine maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient running of equipment.
Read and interpret product specifications and testing requirements.
Prepare detailed process guidelines and machine settings for both mixing and coating stages.
Perform mixing operations consistently to agreed specifications.
Apply coatings and laminations uniformly, meeting the required guidelines.
Report any safety, equipment, raw material, or product quality concerns to the appropriate DEP personnel.
Accurately complete records detailing raw materials used, run conditions, and finished product data.
Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment within the mixing area.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
Chemical Mixer Job Requirements
Experience with chemical mixing or coating processes is desirable
Awareness of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations
Knowledge of quality control procedures and documentation
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Basic mechanical knowledge, with the ability to carry out routine equipment maintenance
Good understanding of health & safety in an industrial setting
Ability to read and follow technical instructions, specifications, and mixing guidelines
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good time management and organisational skills
Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks as required
Chemical Mixer Salary & Benefits
£25,000- £30,000
Working Hours (Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm and Friday: 8:00am - 3:30pm)
Holiday Entitlement (32 days per year)
11 days annual leave of employee's choice, 13 company closure days (communicated annually in November) and 8 Bank Holidays (Company closure includes 3 days between Christmas and New Year).
