Job Overview
This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Researcher to support the delivery of a new NIHR-funded research project focused on understanding the implementation of Nursing Associates in Adult Secondary Care.
You will plan, coordinate, and implement the research program, manage or monitor research budgets, and address challenges related to meeting research objectives and deadlines. The role involves working with a small team conducting research using realist methodology, literature reviews, interviews with patients, carers, NHS staff, and surveys. Some national travel will be required.
You will work independently, seeking guidance from the Chief Investigators and research team as needed.
About the Project
Led at UWE Bristol by Dr. Zoe Anchors and Dr. Laura Goodwin, in collaboration with colleagues from the University of Bristol, other HEIs, NHS Trusts, and health agencies. The project starts on 1 September 2025 and lasts for 30 months.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience managing and conducting health or social care research.
* Skills in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
* Knowledge of ethical and legal health research requirements.
* Experience managing research projects from start to finish, including team coordination, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.
* Ability to prepare reports, manage staff, ensure governance, and contribute methodological expertise.
* Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

Contract Details
