Role/Job Title: Integration Engineer
Work Location: UK, Gaydon
Mode of Working: Office based (5 days a week)
The Role Automotive EV Propulsion Integration through PiL/ViL Testing, Verification & Validation, DOE's and Execution, Vehicle DV Planning & Execution, Rig data analysis, 8D Problem Solving, Strong engineering first principles. Design validation, development, integration, and testing of electric propulsion systems, including high-voltage (HV) power systems, electric drive units (EDUs) and Battery
Design validation through PiL (Powertrain in the Loop) and ViL (Vehicle in the Loop) testing, ensuring the system meets performance and regulatory requirements
System architecture, software development, calibration, and integration, contributing to the overall EV driving experience
Your Responsibilities Developing and executing PiL/ViL test plans
Analyzing test results and identifying areas for improvement
Collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to resolve technical issues
Participating in design reviews and providing feedback
Contributing to the development of new EV technologies
Working with software engineers to develop and calibrate control systems
Ensuring the system meets regulatory and safety requirements
Your Profile Essential Skills / Knowledge / Experience Good experience in BEV propulsion system, knowledge of HV systems
Proven experience with PiL/ViL testing and validation
Test planning and understanding of test standards
Test data analysis from rigs and compliance to test standards
Ensure safety functionality
Understand VSC & calibration knowledge / sensor control
Desirable Skills / Knowledge / Experience Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering
Exposure to AVL / Horiba test rigs
Problem solving / 8D
Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
