The Role
As a Sales Assistant, you will be committed to delivering an outstanding level of service, maintaining a professional, driven and enthusiastic approach. The role is customer‑facing, providing the best service on our trade counter and over the phone while maximizing sales at every opportunity. You will be contracted to a set minimum number of hours per week and may be required to work additional hours during peak seasons. Your schedule will be agreed with flexible notice to support the best customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager with achieving and exceeding sales targets at optimum margins.
* Ensuring we maintain high standards, creating and maintaining a loyal customer base and providing a first‑class service.
* Assisting with the general duties within the branch such as serving customers on the trade counter, telesales and keeping housekeeping standards on the trade counter and warehousing.
* Taking on general driving duties when required.
You:
As a Sales Assistant, you will enjoy working within a team with a dedicated focus on driving results while acting with integrity and honesty. Ideal candidates will have previous experience of selling or assisting customers with purchases and knowledge of plumbing products, though enthusiasm and a can‑do attitude are equally important. You will be flexible with working hours and committed to delivering both customer and business needs.
