X2 Teaching Assistants
Part Time, Fixed Term (1 year)
32.5 hours per week
Grade 10: £26,824 to £28,142 FTE (£20,266 to £21,261 pro-rata) per annum
Filton Hill Primary School is looking for caring, committed and reliable Teaching Assistants to join our welcoming and supportive team. We have two fixed term positions available (32.5 hours per week, term time only plus inset days). Working hours will be 8:30 – 3:20 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30 – 4:10 on Wednesdays and 8:20 -3:20 on Fridays.
We are seeking people who genuinely want to make a difference. Our ideal candidates are those who show kindness every day, who work brilliantly as part of a team and who are motivated by doing the very best for the children in their care.
In these roles, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally. You will need to bring patience, resilience, enthusiasm and a nurturing approach, as you will be supporting some of our most vulnerable learners.
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who:
•Are kind, patient and nurturing, with a genuine desire to support children’s wellbeing
•Are reliable and committed, with a strong sense of responsibility
•Work positively and collaboratively as part of a team
•Show initiative and are confident in following guidance from teachers and SEND staff
•Can build trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues
•Bring energy, enthusiasm and resilience to their daily work
•Are passionate about helping every child feel valued and able to succeed
•Experience of leading phonics interventions

Essential Qualifications:
• A good standard of general education, including GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4 or above) or equivalent
• NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent relevant qualifications/experience would be desirable.
