Transport Supervisor (Northallerton)

Staffline are recruiting for a Transport Supervisor in Northallerton.
The rate of pay is £17.95 per hour.
This is a temporary cover role working Monday to Friday 11.00am - 19.00pm.
Responsibilities
* Enhancing the customer's experience
* Carrying out duties as defined by the Transport Manager
* Supervising the analysis of the Drivers Hours, Working Time Directive and DIGI cards
* Day to day team management of all staff within the distribution operation
* Undertaking the team supervision of a number of people across one or more Supply Chain Sites
* Developing and maintaining effective relationships with key suppliers and internal business partners
* Supporting the management team who have responsibility for maintaining all operating costs and managing within budget
* Coaching and developing team members to the standard required to meet business targets
* Having flexibility towards working pattern and overtime to support operational needs and Working Time Directive rules
Requirements
* Ability to work as part of a team or individually
* Effective communication skills
* Good time management and punctuality
* Previous experience in a similar role is essential
