The Research Support Officer role offers an exciting opportunity to facilitate this work. Based in the Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate, you will coordinate administrative support for academic colleagues developing external research funding applications. Your responsibilities will include developing budgets, managing submission processes, and serving as the first point of contact for research governance queries.
What will the Role involve?
1. Providing excellent administrative support within a Higher Education setting or equivalent, supporting a diverse portfolio of research funding applications.
2. Navigating applications to various sponsors such as Research Councils, Charities, Government Departments, and the European Commission.
3. Raising awareness around research governance, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies, checks, and licenses.
4. Building relationships with academics to support research applications aligned with funders' expectations, university processes, and governance policies.
5. Collaborating with colleagues across Research and Knowledge Exchange to enhance research development and planning activities.
