Job Description
Major Duties and Responsibilities
1. Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
2. Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system
3. Track and trace Order Management files
4. Ensure timely clearance and delivery of freight to customer for Import shipments
5. Ensure documents are sent timely and arrival notices communicated to destination for Export shipments
6. Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing
7. Interact with our customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards.
8. Meet compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer's policies / requirements.
9. Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency
10. Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are followed and updated in the DLSOP
11. Receive documents
12. Prepare shipments
13. Route shipments
14. Manage freight receipt
15. Process shipments
16. Monitor shipments
17. Meet KPI standards, as per the company's procedures
Qualifications
18. 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
19. Understanding of ocean documentation process a plus
20. Pro-active, strong organizational skills
21. Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
22. Hazardous Materials certification (preferred)
23. Fluent in English
