A client, a well‑established law firm in Somerset is seeking an experienced Conveyancer to join its friendly and collaborative residential property team.
This firm prides itself on quality over quantity, offering manageable caseloads, a strong focus on client care, and a supportive team environment.
Part‑time applicants will be considered, provided there is flexibility to support the team during peak periods and annual leave cover.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion. This will include a mix of standard and more complex transactions, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
* Transfers of equity
* Remortgages
* New build transactions
* Equity release matters
* Title investigations, raising enquiries, and dealing with lender requirements
* Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and third parties
* Supporting colleagues and contributing to a team‑focused working environment
Senior applicants will also have the opportunity to handle more complex matters, provide guidance to colleagues, and play a role in the development of the department.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience managing residential conveyancing files independently
* Strong technical knowledge, particularly in leasehold and equity release work
* Qualified (Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor, or CILEX) or highly experienced non‑qualified candidates considered
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
* Confident communicator with a client‑focused approach
* A collaborative team player
* Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to business development
