In October 2024 Ofsted graded the school outstanding in all areas. Heathermount holds NAS Advanced Autism Accreditation, WASP, LPPA and Leaders in Safeguarding (Gold) Award. The school provides a high-quality education for students aged 5-18 with an autism primary diagnosis, plus some co-occurring conditions. All students have an Educational Health & Care Plan. Classes are small (max 8) with a team of educational and therapeutic staff to support learners. The school follows a slightly adapted national curriculum with three personalised pathways to qualifications from entry level to level 2, including GCSE. The majority of leavers transition to mainstream colleges for level 2 and 3 studies.
