Job Overview
Innovate Physiotherapy is looking to add a highly experienced physiotherapist to join our First Contact Practitioner Team based in Corby, Northamptonshire (Rockingham Forrest Primary Care Network - Lakeside Healthcare).
Who We Are
Innovate Physio is North Northants largest independent physiotherapy practice. Our growing team specialises in providing First Contact Practitioner (FCP) services, exclusively focused on supporting Rockingham Forrest Primary Care Network - Lakeside Healthcare, and neuro-musculoskeletal rehabilitation services in the private sector.
Founded in 2020, we have grown to:
* Deliver over 7,000 FCP patient consultations per year / 3,000 physiotherapy consultations per year
* Support the largest PCN in Northamptonshire
* Serve a population of over 90,000 patients
* Employ an exclusive team of FCPs and Advanced Practitioners - only 7 and 8a equivalents
* All Physiotherapists employed are currently undertaking additional university degrees/modules. This and all other CPD/development Innovate Physio is proud to fund fully.
*
How are we different?
Founded by Physiotherapists who have worked within multiple FCP environments, we have applied a tailored approach to FCP delivery that has proven to benefit all stakeholders, especially you, the practitioner.
The "traditional FCP role" has morphed into an extremely high volume, reduced appointment time allocation that is non-stop for 4 to 5 days, with "CPD allocation" that is usually taken up by admin tasks from the clinical week. The outcome we discovered? poor patient service, burnout for the practitioner, and minimal professional development... sound familiar?
Innovate Physiotherapy works on a "number of patients" allocation rather than contracted hours (see further details below) with all current staff members working a 4 day week. Clinical diary allocation can be individualised for your needs, whether these be longer appointment times over longer days
Within this structure, we also have one afternoon per week allocated for the whole team to come together.
About the Role
As a First Contact Physiotherapist, you will work on-site in GP practices as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team. You'll assess, diagnose, and manage MSK patients at the first point of contact - with full autonomy and providing clinical support when required
This is not a hybrid or remote position. You'll be embedded in your practice(s), working closely with GPs, receptionists, nurses, and other MDT colleagues to deliver integrated, personalised patient care.
Innovate Physiotherapy currently provides a band 7 FCP service with the view to developing to an Advanced clinical practitioner service. You will have the opportunity to use or develop advanced skills, including injection therapy and independent prescribing, supported by protected CPD time and structured supervision.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our expanding healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients to improve their physical function and quality of life. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a hospital setting. Experience with paediatric patients is highly desirable.
