Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team, based at a school in Bramcote.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a background in childcare or early childhood education.
As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children to play and learn.
Your role will involve managing activities, promoting social skills, and ensuring the well-being of all children in your care.
This is a flexible role, a few days a week between the hours of 12 and 1:15pm.
Hours could rise to 40 hours during school holidays, for our school holiday clubs.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
* Communicate effectively with children, encouraging positive interactions and conflict resolution.
* Manage behaviour by setting clear boundaries and expectations while fostering a supportive atmosphere.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive environment that caters to the diverse needs of all children.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and any incidents that may occur during play sessions.
* Drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences through creative play and exploration.
Skills
* Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
* Strong leadership skills to effectively manage groups of children and guide them in activities.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly in English.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles is advantageous.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
* A nurturing attitude towards children, with the ability to inspire confidence and creativity in their play.
