Overview
The Flood and Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Executive Office manages the Diary and key administrative tasks for the Executive Director. The role supports senior leadership across the directorate and external partners, and includes travel and on‑site visits around the country.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and organise meetings, events and travel arrangements for the Executive Director.
* Look ahead to anticipate and resolve conflicts or competing priorities, minimising disruption.
* Liaise with senior leaders across the directorate and external stakeholders and partners.
* Provide a varied range of business, administrative and finance system support.
* Join the Executive Director on visits around the country.
Team
The Executive Office is a small, highly supportive team that delivers priority work for senior leadership. You will report to the Executive Coordination Manager and work closely with the Executive Advisor.
Qualifications & Experience
* High‑quality administrative and diary management service with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work quickly and collaboratively to progress work and resolve issues.
* Ability to use or learn Environment Agency systems on behalf of the Executive Director.
* Experience communicating clearly, professionally and effectively with stakeholders at senior level.
* Experience organising a busy and varied workload and responding at pace to new priorities.
* Confident in Microsoft tools including Outlook and SharePoint.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Capable of working well in a team and independently.
Work Conditions
* Position can be based at any location with hybrid working supported.
* Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required, including to 2 Marsham Street, London; London office staff are eligible for London weighting.
* Travel may involve visits around the country to support the Executive Director.
