Shift Manager - Late Shift (Supply Chain / Logistics)
Location: Coalville, Leicestershire
Salary: c£40,000 + £3000 shift allowance + up to 20% annual bonus + benefits (see details below)
Shift Pattern: Sunday-Thursday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
About the Role
Are you an experienced leader in logistics or supply chain looking for your next challenge? We're seeking a Shift Manager to take ownership of a late shift operation within a large, fast-paced distribution centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You'll lead a team of 3/4 First Line Managers and oversee around 20 colleagues, ensuring smooth operations, high performance, and exceptional service. This role is pivotal in driving productivity, maintaining safety standards, and supporting a major technology transformation.
What You'll Do
Lead and inspire your team, creating a high-performance culture.
Manage shift KPIs including productivity, accuracy, and safety compliance.
Oversee inbound and outbound stock flow (large and delicate products).
Ensure effective handovers and communication between shifts.
Drive continuous improvement while maintaining stability during change.
Manage labour budgets and staff rotas.
Champion health & safety and wellbeing across the shift.
Collaborate with other shift managers and key stakeholders in supply chain.What We're Looking For
Must have previously worked as a Shift Manager or equivalent leadership role in logistics/supply chain.
Strong people leadership skills - able to manage managers and coach for success.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Health & Safety knowledge (qualification desirable, experience essential).
Improvement mindset with ability to manage change effectively.
Knowledge of WMS systems (Oracle preferred) and good IT skills.
Must be self-sufficient and hard working.What's in it for You
