Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management is a leading global asset manager with over $3.5 trillion in assets under supervision. This position is part of the Global Product Strategy team in London, focused on product development, strategy, and research for mutual funds, ETFs, and other pooled investment vehicles across all public asset classes.
How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
* Identify market and product trends in the industry to enable GSAM to make informed product decisions.
* Help curate product priorities for various client segments by analyzing and distilling EMEA industry data, evaluating the relative strength of GSAM products vs. peers, and understanding client feedback and preferences.
* Examine performance and structure of the existing fund lineup, helping to evolve the firm’s offering to stay relevant to the client base and market environment.
* Assist in early‑stage product design and development, and provide ongoing oversight for pooled vehicles across asset classes including mutual funds, ETFs, dedicated, and local market offerings.
* Help the team prioritize and efficiently execute new product ideas that leverage the firm’s investment capabilities, drive scale, and address measurable client demand.
* Develop product messaging, competitive research, and actionable ideas for growth and change to be presented to senior management, governance forums, distribution, and investment teams.
* Utilize multiple external data sources (e.g., Morningstar, Broadridge, eVestment) to identify addressable firm priorities by client type and geography; build relationships with vendors and industry peers to garner useful data.
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree, CFA preferred, 3+ years of financial industry experience.
* In‑depth knowledge of the asset management industry, client channels, and vehicle mechanics and requirements (e.g., Luxembourg/Irish SICAV products, unit trusts, ETFs).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
* Strong project management and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively across all levels and functions.
* Proactive problem solver with a strong work ethic, strategic mindset, and commercial perspective.
* Strong technical skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Alteryx, VBA, Python, and coding preferred.
* IMC required (and will be sponsored by the firm if not already completed).
* Demonstrable experience with industry data sources: Morningstar Direct, eVestment, Broadridge.
