Contract Terms
Fixed‑term 1‑year contract (possible extension to permanent). Tentative start date: 27 August 2026. Full time: 37.5 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
Option 1: Fixed‑term contract of 52 weeks per annum. Salary: £24,785.00.
Option 2: Fixed‑term contract of 42 weeks per annum (34 weeks of term time plus 8 weeks during school holidays). Salary: £22,687.00.
Pay review pending in September.

Role Overview
We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our Marketing team. You will work closely with academic, boarding and operational departments to research and produce engaging content that raises the profile of Downe House across newsletters, printed and digital publications, press releases and social media.
You will also support the planning and promotion of key school events, including the annual Academic Conference and Discover Teaching event. This will involve communicating with delegates and assisting with all aspects of event coordination to ensure arrangements run smoothly and professionally.
Responsibilities
* Research and produce engaging content for multiple communication channels.
* Maintain the school’s media presence across printed and digital platforms.
* Coordinate key school events and support delegates’ communication.
* Collaborate with academic, boarding and operational teams to support marketing initiatives.
* Contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies.
Qualifications
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience or interest in marketing, communications or related fields.
* Right to work in the UK and own transport (required).
