Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services, primarily reactive. Our services are delivered by over 60 franchisees across the UK. With over thirty years of experience, we are renowned for quality service and customer satisfaction. Major companies and high street brands trust us for drain maintenance, and we aim to uphold these high standards for all clients.
Within the Waste & Water Services Division of Franchise Brands, we also have Willow Pumps and Filta, which focus on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions. Together, these brands offer a comprehensive service for water and waste management.
We are seeking an experienced Administrator to join our busy office in East Kilbride. The role suits someone with experience in a fast-paced office environment, proactive and hands-on. The successful candidate will liaise daily with internal and external customers and support various administrative duties in our small but busy team.
Key Responsibilities:
This role involves making travel and meeting arrangements, preparing reports, and maintaining filing systems. The ideal candidate should possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be proficient with MS Excel and office equipment. Previous experience as a Secretary or Executive Administrative Assistant, especially within our industry, would be advantageous.
Ultimately, the Admin Assistant will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our office on a daily basis.
What We Look For:
* Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, Personal Assistant, or Office Administrator
* Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
* Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office
* Excellent time management and prioritization skills
* Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
* Availability to cover some on-call work, including manning the phone between 5pm and 7pm on weekdays and occasional weekends
