Overview

Permanent | 37.5 hrs per week. We are looking for an experienced Nurse Prescriber (RMN/RMLD/RGN) to support the ADHD and neurodevelopmental pathways in Sheffield CAMHS. You will work independently to assess, diagnose, and treat young people, with access to support from medical and non-medical colleagues to provide a safe, professional environment. The role combines community and clinic-based work, building relationships with young people and their families, and guiding partner agencies including local authorities and schools to ensure comprehensive support.

Main duties

Reporting Into The Matron, Your Responsibilities Will Include:

* Conduct specialist assessments, both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, to identify the needs of children and young people with autism and ADHD, including complex cases.
* Identify and manage mental health difficulties and make appropriate referrals.
* Apply evidence-based practice throughout the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of care for children, young people, and their families.
* Be a subject matter expert on ADHD and autism within the team, supporting the development of knowledge.
* Monitor the physical and mental health of children and young people with ADHD, making clinical decisions.
* Administer medications following the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and local policy.
* Work with schools to assess and support the ongoing management of young people in these settings.
* Maintain accurate clinical records, provide clear information and prepare reports that comply with Trust and professional guidelines.
