As a Senior Research Engineer, you will lead and deliver multiple research projects across our ADAS/Assisted/Automated, Connected Car, and Electrification agendas. You’ll play a key role in developing and improving research processes, systems, and tools, while providing engineering guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

What you’ll be doing
* Identify, lead, and deliver research projects in ADAS, Connected Car, and Electrification.
* Plan and schedule work packages, coordinate progress across teams, and manage stakeholder updates.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vehicle manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, and industry bodies.
* Share technical knowledge through presentations, reports, and papers for external publication.
* Support the development and implementation of research processes and tools.
* Mentor and support junior engineers, encouraging personal development.
Essential skills and experience
* Significant experience in a technical discipline with proven ability to deliver and take technical responsibility for complex engineering projects.
* Strong theoretical and applied research skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
* Critical thinking and analytical skills.
Desirable skills or experience (not essential)
* Degree in Engineering or a technical subject.
* Experience leading cross-functional teams and using various project management methodologies.
* Knowledge of or interest in the automotive industry.
* High level of interpersonal and influencing skills.

Working model
We have a hybrid working model – you’ll be expected to work from our office in Thatcham at least two days per week.
