Your new role
As the Head of Maintenance & Facilities, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across a multi‑site estate.
You will lead large, multidisciplinary teams delivering maintenance, conservation,pliance, and facilities services, while shaping the long‑term strategy for sustainability, green energy transition, and the adoption of new technologies and AI.
This role is central to ensuring these remarkable historic spaces remain safe, functional, and preserved to the highest standards.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
1. A Degree (or equivalent) in Facilities/Estates Management, Engineering, Building Services, or a related field
2. Chartered membership (IWFM, RICS, CIOB, IMechE, IEE or similar)
3. Senior-level experience in estates or facilities management, ideally within heritage orplex multi‑site environments
4. Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance, conservation, andpliance
5. Experience leading and developing large multidisciplinary teams
6. Proven ability to manageplex projects under pressure
7. Strong financial acumen and experience managing significant budgets
8. Excellentmunication and stakeholder management skills
9. A genuinemitment to sustainability and heritage conservation
