This is a great opportunity to join the Conferences and Events team. We are looking for a dynamic colleague with experience in events planning or a background in the hospitality/residential sector, with a strong customer focus and excellent written and organisational skills, to join a busy team.
As the Events Manager, you will lead the delivery of the different conferences and events throughout the year. You will be responsible for our three full-time venues and will manage a team of events coordinators. You will also analyse feedback from customers and ensure customer service excellence.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
1. to manage events handed over by the Business Development team and become customers’ main point of contact,
2. to liaise with other departments on campus in order to ensure the good delivery of events,
3. to ensure the venues are compliant with Health and Safety standards at all times,
4. to manage customers and answer their comments, compliments and complaints,
5. to lead a team of events coordinators,
6. to support the Conferences and Events Operations Manager.
This is a full-time role starting ASAP. This role is 36.5 hours per week, with sometimes working early morning, evening and weekends, with time given in lieu. It is primarily be based at the Lancaster University Bailrigg campus, with flexible working available when business demand allows.
