Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Surveyor/Remedial engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in surveying of domestic windows and doors in existing dwellings and new build dwellings. They will posses experience in remedial work on windows and doors including repair, hanging sashes and glazing. Have a customer focused attitude and confidence to explain fitting related issues to installers. Have the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role involves conducting surveys and preparing remedial reports. The Surveyor/Remedial engineer will also be responsible for utilising various tools and equipment to carry out their duties efficiently. Van and tools are provided.
Responsibilities
* Conduct window and door surveys using appropriate surveying equipment and techniques.
* Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure project requirements are met.
* Utilise power tools for various tasks related to surveying and remedial activities.
* Perform remedial tasks including repair to frames/ hardware, replacing window/door sashes and glazing
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards throughout all surveying activities.
Experience
* Proven experience in surveying or a related field is preferred.
* Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation.
* Knowledge of fabrication and installation of windows and doors
* Experience in working on construction sites
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and customers
