Full-Time Teaching Assistant (SEMH) Teaching Assistant – SEMH School Blandford Forum Full-Time | Term Time We are working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school in Blandford Forum that supports pupils aged 5–16 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The school also provides alternative provision for pupils who require a more personalised and nurturing learning environment. We are seeking a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs in both classroom and therapeutic settings. The role includes: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis Helping pupils regulate emotions and engage in learning Supporting behaviour plans and positive interventions Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff The ideal candidate: Has experience (or strong interest) in SEMH, SEN, youth work or care Is calm, patient and adaptable Can build positive relationships with pupils Is confident supporting challenging behaviour This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in young people’s lives.
