We’re seeking for an Experienced Buyer About the role You’ll be responsible for end-to-end procurement mainly from China but also India, Turkey and EU, ensuring products are competitively priced, ethically sourced, and delivered to spec and on time. Working closely with our vendors, our design, logistics, and commercial teams, you’ll be a key part of turning creative concepts into high-quality merchandise. This is a full-time, on-site role based in our lovely office in the heart of vibrant Islington, with the flexibility to work remotely one day a week. Responsibilities · Source and manage production with trusted factories · Raise and track POs, monitoring production timelines and deliveries · Negotiate pricing, terms, and ensure quality standards are met · Oversee sampling, testing, and third-party QC processes · Support compliance and ethical sourcing in line with ours and client’s standards · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring product ideas to life · Maintain up-to-date supplier records and benchmarked costs What we are looking for · 3 years’ experience buying from China (ideally in merchandise, giftware, retail and promotional) · Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills · Excellent organisation and communication · Confident in a fast-paced, creative and detail-focused environment · Experience with production tracking, factory QC, and lab testing · Mandarin or Cantonese language skills are a plus (not required) · A proactive, problem-solving mindset and great communication skills. · Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Editor and PowerPoint and data base entry and updates. · Bonus points if you’ve worked on projects with Disney, Harry Potter previously.
