Job Description
HWF is partnering with a fast-growing, private equity–backed organisation to appoint a Commercial Finance Director into a pivotal role within a large-scale but lean finance function.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a hands-on Commercial FD role for someone who is equally comfortable operating at board level and rolling up their sleeves in the detail. You’ll play a critical role in driving performance, supporting growth initiatives and strengthening commercial decision-making across the business.
The Role
As Commercial Finance Director, you will:

* Act as the number one commercial partner to the CFO and wider executive team
\t
* Lead all commercial finance, FP&A and performance analysis across the group
\t
* Own budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning and long-range modelling in a PE environment
\t
* Provide detailed, data-driven insight on profitability, pricing, margins and ROI
\t
* Support M&A activity, integration and value-creation initiatives
\t
* Work closely with operational leaders to drive accountability and performance
\t
* Operate in a hands-on capacity, getting into the numbers, models and underlying detail where required
\t
* Help shape scalable finance processes and reporting suitable for a growing, acquisitive business
About You
\t
* Proven experience as a Commercial FD / Senior Commercial Finance Leader within a PE-backed or high-growth business
\t
* Comfortable working in a lean finance team with limited layers and high personal accountability
\t
* Strong technical and analytical capability with a hands-on approach to modelling, forecasting and analysis
\t
* Confident partnering and challenging senior stakeholders and investors
\t
* Experience supporting growth, transformation, or transaction activity
\t
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
