Job Advert – Year 2 Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Location: Grimsby
Start Date: May 2026 – July 2026
Salary: £140-£180
Are you a motivated and committed Teacher looking for a rewarding short-term role?
We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their friendly, supportive team to cover maternity leave from May until July 2026.

About the Role
This is a great opportunity to join a welcoming one-form entry primary school with a strong community feel and high expectations for pupil progress.
What You’ll be Doing:
* Teaching a Year 2 class within a nurturing, inclusive environment
* Delivering RWI Phonics as part of the school’s established phonics programme
* Taking responsibility for planning, teaching and assessing across all subjects in the year group
To Thrive in This Role You Will Be:
* Experienced in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
* Confident delivering Read Write Inc. phonics
* Skilled in planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum
* Committed to raising standards and developing independent, motivated learners
* Able to integrate quickly into a supportive and collaborative team
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status
* Experience teaching in KS1 in UK primary schools
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness xkybehq to obtain one)
* Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
