Offer description

Overview

King's Breast Care has been established for 15 years, bringing together a range of services including Gynae-Endocrine, Plastic Reconstruction, Psychiatric and Psychological Liaison, Breast Screening Assessment, Day Surgery Pre-assessment, Physiotherapy, and Fatigue Management. The department co-locates the Screening Assessment Unit for the NHSBSP in Southeast London and currently manages approximately 210 breast cancer cases per year. The team has developed and become national leaders in Day Surgery for non-reconstructive breast surgery, with growing involvement in fatigue management and formal social assessments.

We are expanding our consultant team to accommodate changes in junior hospital doctor support. We have two breast care nurses who provide support and counselling to women with breast problems, ranging from benign conditions to metastatic breast cancer, and they work closely with the nurses in breast screening assessment.
