Job Description This is a hands-on security management role with responsibility for maintaining a safe, secure and well-controlled resort environment. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Leading the day-to-day operation of the security team, ensuring agreed security standards, patrol routines and response procedures are consistently delivered by all team members. Maintaining a strong security presence across the resort, with regular checks of entrances, exits, public areas, team areas, bars, car parks, accommodation zones and vulnerable locations. Carrying out regular departmental audits, spot checks and reviews of security processes, incident logs, handover notes, key control, radio use, CCTV checks and other documentation. Taking full responsibility for the security team’s performance, conduct, appearance and professionalism, ensuring they act with authority, discretion and excellent judgement at all times. Coaching, developing and supporting the team so they can manage conflict, de-escalate incidents, protect guests and team members, and deliver high operational standards. Ensuring security staffing levels, patrol coverage and night-time deployment are appropriate for business levels, resort occupancy, events and risk periods. Supporting recruitment, induction and ongoing training in conjunction with the Resort General Manager and HR Department, with a clear focus on SIA standards, safeguarding, incident reporting and guest care. Supporting the Health & Safety representative and ensuring company health and safety procedures, emergency procedures and legal obligations are understood and followed within the department. Taking full responsibility for ensuring the security department and the Company remain compliant with Security Industry Authority standards, licensing requirements and all relevant legal obligations. Managing and reviewing incidents, including challenging behaviour, welfare concerns, lost property, missing persons, access control issues, noise complaints and emergency situations, ensuring accurate records and appropriate escalation. Supporting the late Duty Manager from 5pm onwards, including maintaining order during evening operations and ensuring bars, public areas and back-of-house areas are safely closed and secured before departure. Hours of Work: 40 - 48 hours per week Primarily night work, between the hours of 6pm - 8am
