An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced educator to join a high-performing Sixth Form as Deputy Head of Sixth Form, with subject leadership responsibilities for Business and Economics. This role is ideal for a middle leader seeking the next step into strategic leadership within an inclusive and forward-thinking 11–18 academy
The Role
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision and direction of the Sixth Form, supporting the Assistant Principal in raising academic standards and delivering exceptional pastoral support. You will also provide strategic and operational leadership of Business and Economics, overseeing curriculum development, teaching and learning, and outcomes across Key Stages 4 and 5.
Key Duties
* Supporting the strategic development of the Sixth Form, including curriculum and transition.
* Leading on academic progress, attendance, and behaviour at KS5.
* Overseeing Business & Economics curriculum delivery and faculty performance.
* Monitoring teaching quality and leading CPD within your department.
* Contributing to whole-school leadership and improvement initiatives.
* Promoting high expectations, inclusion, and positive outcomes for all students

* A skilled classroom practitioner with a track record of raising achievement.
* Proven experience in subject or phase leadership, ideally at KS5.
* A thorough understanding of curriculum, assessment, and data analysis.
* A commitment to high standards, equity, and student wellbeing.
* Someone ready to lead, inspire, and contribute to a wider leadership team.
