Position
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Senior Healthcare Support Worker based at Central Clinic, Kilmarnock.
What You Will Do
Working as a Community Healthcare Support worker within the Kilmarnock District Nursing team within East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership you will have experience. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work on your own initiative, and a lone worker working within a variety of settings within the community. You should be able to provide evidence of personal development and a willingness to undertake appropriate training.
Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job
SVQ3 in Healthcare related subject and/or equivalent knowledge gained in a relevant area through experience, on the job training and/or short courses or appropriate competency to undertake role.
Skills Required
* Can demonstrate a range of core skills to competently undertake patient care and other tasks and activities.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to show initiative and work without direct supervision as required, on a daily basis.
* Organisational and time management skills.
* PC skills.
Training and personal development
Completion of in house training programme as required. Continues to develop knowledge and practice through a combination of instruction, on the job learning, attending teaching sessions and study days, where appropriate.
Hours
37 per week.
Full UK Driving Licence/Access To a Vehicle
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential to this role.

From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
