Overview
We're seeking a talented individual to join our Management Accounting team in Liverpool, focusing on Revenue reporting. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence 2 days per week. Open to part qualified or newly qualified Finance Analyst looking to gain experience in Management Accounting.
Responsibilities
* Extract revenue data from source systems, collate and review revenue and accruals, and contribute to the collation of Revenue data for regulatory returns and audit.
* Reconcile revenue postings to cash received, follow up on anomalies, and update reconciliations for control frameworks and files provided to auditors.
* Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, format large data sets into professional Excel reports, and provide commentary.
* Liaise with finance personnel and operational teams to ensure information is recorded and presented accurately and within deadlines.
* Contribute to the review of team tasks, identify improvements to build efficient processes, and participate in ad-hoc project-related work where necessary.
* Maintain a high-quality culture to minimise errors and ensure high service levels, escalating to the manager or relevant department when necessary.
Qualifications
* Newly qualified Accountant or experienced part qualified – ACCA/CIMA.
* Experience in a management accounts team is essential.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word (basic), Excel (advanced), PowerPoint (intermediate).
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to senior audiences, and to work well in a team or independently.
* Ability to understand and summarise complex information in a professional and concise manner, with high accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems quickly.
Desirable experience
* Experience within a financial services institution is advantageous but not essential.
