SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Reception/EYFS
Location: Eastcroft Park, Kirkby
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-time, Term-time
Pay Rate: £13.75 - £15.25 per hour (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a young boy in Reception/EYFS who is pre-verbal and autistic. Your role will involve:
* Providing tailored 1:1 support to meet his individual needs.
* Assisting with communication strategies, sensory regulation, and social interaction.
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans.
* Encouraging independence and fostering a positive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate
* Experience supporting children with autism and communication difficulties (preferred).
* Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to meet the child’s needs.
* Knowledge of EYFS curriculum and strategies for SEN support.
* Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
* Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training.
