Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Estates Engineer to join our team, delivering both reactive and planned maintenance across Wexham Park Hospital and the Slough Community Diagnostic Centre. This is a varied, hands-on role that plays a vital part in keeping essential healthcare facilities safe, compliant, and fully operational. The post-holder will also participate in the Trust’s out-of-hours emergency on-call rota.
Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, minor improvement works and capital projects across the Trust, in line with management direction.
* Ensure all work is completed in full compliance with Trust safety standards, statutory regulations, and agreed procedures.
* Undertake complex and non-routine engineering tasks, using initiative and technical expertise to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
* Calibrate, maintain and fault-find on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment, including:
o Low Pressure Hot Water (LPHW) systems
o General air conditioning controls and systems
o Steam raising plant and associated equipment
o Steam steriliser systems
* Work a standard shift pattern and actively contribute to the out-of-hours emergency on-call rota, supporting essential services when needed.
