About the Studio
This established workplace design and build studio forms part of a leading UK organisation specialising in the creation of high-performing, thoughtfully designed workplaces. The team works closely with clients to deliver spaces that support productivity, collaboration and wellbeing.
The SE studio brings together a strong and collaborative design team delivering projects across the workplace sector. With a mix of experienced designers and developing talent, the studio places real value on knowledge sharing, continuous improvement and creating an environment where people can develop their skills.
The Role
The studio is seeking a Senior Technician / Lead Technician to become a key technical figure within the team. You need to be a "REVIT Guru" but it is not "just" a Technician role.
This role goes beyond traditional technical production — it is an opportunity to influence how the studio develops its technical capabilities and supports the growth of its people.
Working alongside an established design team, this person will act as a technical leader and mentor, helping colleagues strengthen their skills while ensuring projects are delivered with clarity and confidence.
Within the team there are already several highly capable REVIT users, alongside others who are earlier in their development. This role will help bridge that gap by creating opportunities for shared learning and providing guidance on how REVIT can be used effectively across different roles within the studio.
The successful candidate will help foster a collaborative learning culture through initiatives such as lunch-and-learn sessions, technical workshops and studio-wide discussions focused on improving workflows and sharing best practice whilst still being hands on with producing drawings for the studios biggest and best projects. And some of these projects are HOT STUFF.
What the role involves
* Acting as a technical mentor and leader within the studio, supporting the development of the wider design team
* Championing and strengthening the use of REVIT across projects and individuals
* Introducing opportunities for knowledge sharing, including informal learning sessions and technical discussions
* Collaborating closely with designers to ensure technical design intent is translated clearly into deliverable project information
* Supporting the evolution and improvement of studio processes and workflows
The ideal person
This role will suit someone with strong technical experience who enjoys helping others grow and develop.
* A strong background in REVIT workflows
* Experience delivering workplace design & build projects
* An approachable and collaborative mindset, with the ability to listen, support and mentor colleagues
* Confidence stepping into a technical leadership role within a studio environment
* An interest in improving systems, processes and ways of working
