Overview
We are looking for a motivated and forward‑thinking static physiotherapist to join our acute medicine team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual eager to enhance both clinical expertise and leadership skills within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Our physiotherapy department is committed to advancing the role of physiotherapy in acute care. Under the mentorship of experienced Band 7s, you will receive strong guidance, career development opportunities, and a culture that fosters excellence, innovation and continuous professional development (CPD).
The team covers our emergency department, SDEC areas and our acute medical units (AMU). Working closely with occupational therapy colleagues across all areas.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise, educate and appraise physiotherapists, support staff and students.
* Lead and contribute to service development, ensuring high‑quality patient care and innovation in practice.
* Deliver a high‑quality physiotherapy service by assessing and treating patients with complex presentations.
* Supervise and mentor newly qualified physiotherapists, technicians, assistants and students while contributing to the education of multidisciplinary team (MDT) staff.
* Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and actively participate in departmental activities.
* Take part in the weekend and on‑call service as required.
* Facilitate enhanced service provision with long days.
