Join the Student Activities Board as a Student Media Manager In Training in the Collaboratory. This is a part‑time internship position (5–10 hours per week) available in the 2025‑26 academic year on the Main Campus (Grantham). The role reports to Bryce Watkins and offers hands‑on experience in social media, web content, event planning, and volunteer coordination.
Position Summary
The student supports the Leadership team in creating content for internal and external audiences through social media, webpage, newsletter, online and residential, and other publications. Leadership qualities, multitasking, and attention to detail are essential. The role involves coordinating multiple events, classes, and workshops while promoting the Collaboratory to diverse audiences. It is a unique, growth‑oriented opportunity that plays a critical role in recruitment and relationship building.

Requirements
* Major Preferred: Marketing, Communications, or similar
* Experience Required:
o Expertise with multiple social media platforms
o Writing experience
o Experience creating video content
* Experience Preferred:
o Project and event planning experience
o Experience leading small teams
o Understanding of, or willingness to learn about, the Collaboratory
* Skills, Characteristics Required:
o Christian testimony and desire to grow as a disciple of Christ
o Attention to detail: able to track, coordinate and prioritize multiple projects
o Ability to plan and execute events
o Good communicator: able to motivate, direct, and empower

Responsibilities
* Manage Collaboratory social media sites including capturing photographs, videos, and other online content.
* Assist with content for Collaboratory webpage.
* Build and lead a team of volunteers to assist with creating content for the Newsletter and other publications.
* Find creative ways to engage and recruit non‑IPC and non‑engineering volunteers for project teams.
* Assist Collaboratory Leadership teams with hosting on‑campus and online events.
* Attend student advisory board meetings as representative of non‑engineering majors.
* Find new ways and news audiences to tell the story of the Collaboratory on campus and online.
* Assist the Student Director with planning and executing the fall Leaders Workshop and discipleship community.
* Assist Program Manager or Collaboratory Director with selected projects.
* Assist with management of CRM, data and statistics.
* Manage and inspire others to do their best.
* Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.

Preference will be given to highly creative students available for Tuesday or Thursday Collaboratory Project class time immediately following chapel.
