The post holders main duties will be to responsible for theprovision of an efficient and comprehensive referral management and outpatientbooking service to patients, ensuring a high level of customer care andmaintaining confidentiality at all times.

Main duties of the job
* Use of PC
* Provide an accurate, efficient and quality booking servicefor TRFT Consultants and Specialities with regard to the processing ofappointments in accordance with Trust and Government targets and currentpractices and procedures..
* Booking appointments onto the Patient AdministrationSystem with specific attention to the data items required for commissioningpurposes and data quality.
* Respond to all enquiries and contact with members of thepublic and staff of all disciplines with tact, sensitivity and confidentialityat all times.
* Deal with general enquiries and providing information suchas figures and waiting time information.
* Deal with incoming telephone calls and make appropriateappointments.
* Participate in the modernisation of systems and implementnew ways of working, adhering to and changing systems in accordance with newand existing Government and Trust targets, policies and procedures.
* Regular review of own systems and working practice and putforward proposals for changes to working practice and procedures.
* Provide flexibility in terms of hours working inaccordance with the needs of the service. Ensure the team offer a telephone servicetween the hours of 8 am and 6 pm Monday to Friday.
