GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Lead to join a welcoming school community in Sheffield. This role focuses on providing emotional, behavioural, and social support to students, ensuring they feel safe, heard, and ready to learn.
Key Responsibilities as a Pastoral Lead:
Support the pastoral development and wellbeing of pupils across the school.
Work closely with students, families, and staff to address barriers to learning.
Monitor attendance, behaviour, and engagement, intervening where needed.
Assist with the implementation of behaviour policies and restorative approaches.
Offer mentoring and emotional regulation strategies to students.
Requirements for Pastoral Lead:
Previous experience in a pastoral or student support role is essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm, consistent, and empathetic in challenging situations.
A good understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and school procedures.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
