GSL Education is seeking flexible and enthusiastic Supply Teachers to work across secondary schools in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers who enjoy variety, supporting students across different subjects and year groups, and making a positive impact in the classroom.

The secondary schools we work with provide inclusive and engaging learning environments where staff collaborate to maintain high teaching standards and positive behaviour. Supply teachers are welcomed as integral contributors to student progress, providing essential classroom cover and support.
About the Role:
As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver lessons, manage behaviour, and maintain a positive learning environment. You will support students’ academic progress and engagement while providing continuity in the absence of permanent staff.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver lessons and activities according to teacher plans across various subjects
• Support students in maintaining focus, engagement, and participation
• Maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
• Monitor and provide feedback on student progress where appropriate
• Work collaboratively with staff to ensure consistency and continuity in learning
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching experience
• Experience teaching in a secondary school environment is desirable
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive approach to supporting students and staff
